So far my wife and I have not found a Poulsbo restaurant that has both good food and great service...typically it is one or the other. In fact one of the local restaurants where we like the food has notoriously horrific service! Well that ended tonight with our visit to Kachai Thai Kitchen. Every single employee that we had contact with went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, to a level that honestly quite shocked us. On top of the absolutely great service was fantastic food. Everything we ordered was executed at a very high level. If you are in the Poulsbo area, make a reservation NOW and you're welcome.

We were seated right away, very nicely decorated. We ordered the crab wontons (not pictured) was out quickly and tasted superb! Overall 5/5 stars! Can't wait to bring some friends here.

Both really good and loved the drink! Definitely recommend and returning. My only thing Is that the hostess could of been more happy when entering the restaurant. I walked in first and I'm a woman of color and when the hostess saw me she didn't say anything until my significant other walked in because he's a lighter complexion than I am and to me that comes off automatically racist. So my recommendation is the hostess needs to be more friendly to anybody no matter what the color of there skin is.

Overall Rating - 8.67 Food - 8/10 - Everything was very delicious, the only thing that was very noticeable was the chili crisp, heavenly beef, and pad thai. - The heavenly beef was very delicious, the beef was incredibly tender and flavorful. - The pad thai was very delicious as well - The crispy garlic chicken was good, but I have had much much better crispy garlic chicken at other restaurants. - The eggplant was very delicious as well. - The tom kha was incredibly delicious and one of the better tom khas that I have had. - The chili crisp was amazing! You have to ask for it and it is so good, I may have eaten all of it lol, if they decide to sell it I would buy so much of it. ‍‍Accessibility - 9/10 - Quite accessible, the tables are a little tight next to each other but nothing that can't be fixed. The restaurant is ground level with no stairs or steps. - Sensory wise, the lights are dim, the music is low. ‍Service - 8/10 - The service was good, I think the section we were sat in was someone else's that they were not covering very well so many of the other waiters had to pitch in and help, as we had different people throughout the whole process. Despite the condition they were very professional and great servers. Ambiance - 9/10 - Very pretty, nice music, good lighting. Parking - 10/10 - it is in a shopping center so there is lots of free close parking nearby. Price - 8/10 - Because it is a little more upscale it is definitely it a bit more expensive and is about $30ish a person.

if you complain about the staff, you have never met Andrew. He is amazing! Attentive, polite, knowledgeable and fun to interact with. Also, as far as being a Vegan in Kitsap County, Katchai Thai is one of the very few Thai restaurants that understand what Vegans need and want... like no fish sauce, no egg.... You might be surprised to know how many places just don't understand the way of the vegan. Kaisa

I do not understand the low stars for Kachai. The ambiance is very nice - I give it a 10 for Thai restaurant decor. The service was top notch, thank you, Andrew! I had a Lilikoi Margarita and it was delicious. The jasmine tea was perfectly brewed in a French press. All of the food was good; pad Thai with tofu, Pad Kana with chicken, heavenly beef, pork satay and tofu lettuce wraps. Highly recommend!

They serve alcohol now! They have a Thai beers as well as rotating beers on tap. My wife was happy they served a solid IPA on tap (Bodhizafa). They also have sake and wines. Our server Audrey was the best! I went with a large party of 8 and we got a bunch of dishes and shared them family style. All of the dishes were flavorful and everyone enjoyed them.

I like this cute little Thai restaurant! The decor is exotic and though I've never been to Thailand, it made me feel like it reminded me of visiting a cute restaurant in Thailand! Anyways, it was about 1230pm on a Thursday, there were a couple tables already seated. I really wanted to try their Khao Soi dish that was on their menu, but sadly they weren't serving it that day *sad face, but luckily I always have a backup order, and ended up choosing the Heavenly Beef. My fiance ordered the Chicken Panang Curry. I had a Thai iced tea and his bevy of choice is always a beer. Food came to the table relatively quickly. Heavenly beef was tender, sauce was in the sweeter side but it was still palatable. I do wish I ordered one of the Thai curries, as my finances was so so good! Medium spice but not overpowering. I liked our cute little lunch date here. Would recommend and return!
